Package holiday breaks can benefit families, it has been claimed.
According to travelsupermarket.com, such getaways offer a "host" of benefits to families taking holidays, such as additional extras.
The news comes after Thomsonfly reported that now is a good time to book package holidays in eurozones in order to avoid the sting of the exchange rate once on holiday.
Kayte Williams, holiday travel manager at online comparison service travelsupermarket.com, said: "Families have the comfort of knowing everything is included - they are met by a rep when they get to their resort and they have somebody to contact within the resort if they need any help."
She added that families with small children could also pre-book items such as cots and pushchairs for children while children's clubs are another benefit.
Research undertaken by Halifax Travel Insurance recently found that 2.5 million Brits take package holidays to exotic destinations every year.
