Travellers to the US and may not immediately think of American beer as a leading attraction, but that could change with a trip to Florida this month.
October 11th 2008 marks the start of the Orlando Beer Festival which sees its Universal CityWalk transformed into a massive beer celebration for the weekend, events website whatsonwhen.com reports.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a tipple from over 40 brewers and also check out the beverages voted Best of the Fest and Taster's Choice.
Also up for grabs is the Best Booth award, while guests can enjoy a range of food at the restaurants along the city promenade and all-day live entertainment and music.
Different brewers plying their wares include the internationally-renowned Brooklyn Brewery and the local Orlando Brewery and Florida Beer Company.
General admission for the event is $25 (£14.45) in advance and $35 on the day which includes unlimited beer samples, while designated drivers get a $10 ticket which includes free non-alcoholic beverages.
