20 08 2007

For holidaymakers looking for more than theme parks to occupy their time in Florida, the 17th Annual Sarasota Blues Festival may be just what they need.

Held at the Ed Smith Stadium Complex on November 3rd 2007, the festival brings together a whole host of famous acts, including multi-Grammy winner Buddy Guy, Mighty Lester and Oteil & The Peacemakers.

Previous events have seen the likes of Gregg Allman and John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers take to the Sarasota stage, attracting thousands of concert-goers.

Performances start at noon and visitors can enjoy food and drink, as well as taking in a variety of craft stalls.

While in Sarasota, visitors can enjoy a range of activities and attractions, including the Parker Manatee Aquarium, the Florida Gulf Coast Rail Road Museum and the Sarasota Jungle Gardens.

Music fans can also take in the sounds of the Florida West Coast Symphony, the Jazz Club of Sarasota and the Sarasota Blues Society.
