Most people associate the popular resort city of Dubai with sun and sand, not snow, but now skiing enthusiasts who want to combine the slopes with the beach are in luck.
Dubai boasts one of the finest man-made ski slopes in the world, called Snow Dubai.
The resort has tons of artificially produced snow, often of better quality than any found in a natural environment.
And skiers of all abilities are catered for, as the resort boasts green, blue, red and black runs.
There are even ski-lifts and real snow patrols, so visitors could be forgiven for thinking they are in a real alpine resort.
And the resort hasn't forgotten snowboarders, it boasts a 90-metre quarter pipe that boarders can bust tricks on to their heart's content.
When done exerting oneself of the slopes, one can get refreshed at the St Morits Cafe or the Avalanche Cafe, both of which offer breathtaking views of the "mountain".
Skiers wanting to thaw out need merely step outside into Dubai's constant heat.
