2008 News Archive - Holidays - South Africa safaris 'popular among honeymooners'

01 02 2008

A safari in South Africa could be just the ticket for honeymooning couples in 2008, it has been suggested.

According to hitched.co.uk, South Africa could become popular among couples wishing to enjoy so-called twin-centre breaks.

The commentator explained that this is a way for couples to combine two different activities while on holiday - such as an adventurous safari trip and a more placid beach break.

"Some couples like to do the traditional style of honeymoon, relax on a deserted beach for two weeks, whereas others opt for the more adventurous type of trip," Francesca Moore, spokesperson for hitched.co.uk commented.

She added that "the world is your oyster" and honeymooners can combine two different styles of holiday with a twin-centre trip.

St Lucia was voted the World's Leading Honeymoon Destination in the 2007 World Travel Awards.
