2008 News Archive - Holidays - Spain and Canada 'popular among Brits'

08 02 2008

Holidays in Spain and Canada are so popular among Britons that some people are choosing to relocate there permanently.

Natwest claims that the prospect of a better lifestyle overseas and improved work prospects are among the factors fuelling many Britons decisions to move abroad.

The comment comes after the publication of the NatWest International Personal Banking Quality of Life Report which showed that countries offering the "best" quality of life included New Zealand, Canada and Spain.

"The world is far more movable than it ever was before, because of transport and everything else, there’s a lot of opportunity now for people to go abroad," commented Dave Isley, head of NatWest International Personal Banking.

He added that expatriates retiring to countries like Spain and Canada experience a complete lifestyle change in doing so.

The Royal Bank of Scotland Group acquired NatWest in a landmark £21 billion deal.
