Spain continues to be one of the most popular destinations for people in the UK, according to the results of a new survey.
The Majorca Daily Bulletin reports that a study conducted by UK Wordtracker revealed that among those looking for information about overseas countries online, ten per cent were interested in Spain.
The country was a long way ahead of its nearest rival France, which attracted interest from just 4.48 per cent of internet users.
According to the news provider, the Costa del Sol and the Costa Blanca were some of the most highly sought-after destinations.
The Mirror recently reported that Spain could be the choice location for families looking to save money, as weekly food and drink process were found to be cheaper than other short-haul destinations.
When compared with Italy, weekly food and drink prices were found to be on average approximately £200 less expensive in Spain.
