Spain has again been crowned the most popular tourist destination for Europeans on holiday, reports traveldailynews.com.
The survey from IPK International found 13 per cent of the holidays taken by Europeans last year were in Spain, with France and Germany ranking behind in second and third place respectively.
There are a great number of reasons to visit Spain, from the joys of exploring old mountainside villages and soaking up the relaxed local culture, to embracing the thriving cities and this country's many, many beautiful beaches.
Spain is also famous for its resolutely splendid weather, with hot, dry conditions guaranteed virtually all year round.
Popular beach locations include the lively Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca resorts, as well as some more relaxed destinations along the Costa de la Luz and Costa Brava.
So whether it's a week's surfing or windsurfing - or just relaxing on shore with a drink, absorbing the heat and listening to the waves - Spain undoubtedly has an ideal location waiting just for you.
