The southern Spanish city of Granada will become even more lively from June 22nd to July 8th when it hosts the Granada International Festival of Music and Dance.

Over 40 shows will be put on during the festival, consisting of everything from the Ballet de l'Opera National de Bordeaux, to the magnificent Oquestra Ciudad de Granada.

The festival is to be held partly in the city's majestic Alhambra palace and partly in the beautiful Generalife Gardens.

One could ask for no more beautiful setting for such an extravaganza of showmanship and skill.

A deluge of fringe events will also be taking place in the many cafes, bars and clubs scattered throughout this beautiful and historic city.

Situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, in the heart of Andalusia, Granada combines its identities as a tourist hot-spot and one of the premier student cities in Spain with grace.

The city's wild nightlife draws young people from all over Europe and its beautiful architecture and historic sites attracts tourists in their thousands.
