Those travelling for an exotic getaway to Mexico may want to pack a more mundane item in their suitcases than they might have first anticipated.
A fishing rod could come in handy when keen anglers visiting the country rejoice in the news that Mexico plays host to Los Cabos Billfish Tournament at the end of October.
The contest involves top fishing teams battling it out to be crowned winner of the three-day event, held between the 16th and 20th of October.
Participating teams will also be rewarded for the biggest snapper they can snare, as they tackle the fish surrounding the Playa Grande Resort.
Holidaymakers may have to content with watching the event from the sidelines as teams hoping to enter must find $4,000 (about £2,000) to register as competitors.
Mexico is also the location for another great competition taking place in October, as the Red Bull Air Race promises to wow crowds with stunts and fierce rivalry in Acapulco.
