Cookery fiends should be delighted to know that Turkey will be the Mecca for all things culinary and tasty next month.
Mengen, in the south-west Marmara region of Turkey, holds an annual cooking festival in September, Whatsonwhen notes.
Food-lovers will be dragging themselves away from the country's sandy beaches and clear blue seas to experience a culinary feast of expertise.
Many skilled chefs hail from the area and are keen to display their finest food talents.
However, if that doesn't tantalise tourist taste buds, snow ice cream (or Pekmez) served at the Gombe Mountain market will surely not disappoint.
Pekmez is made from snow which still remains in the White Mountains during the summer months and is mixed with a sweet grape juice, Whatsonwhen reports.
Local villagers head to this market - held 2,000 metres above sea level - throughout the summer, so it is likely to provide a real flavour of Turkish culture.
