2008 News Archive - Holidays - Tennis Masters coming to Shanghai

14 06 2007

Fans of tennis who want to see some of the best playing in the world could do worse than attend the ATP Masters in Shanghai.

The event will see the eight best players of the season go head-to-head against each other at the city's magnificent Qi Zhong stadium.

Last year saw the Swiss dynamo Roger Federer beat the American James Blake in straight sets and win his third Masters cup title in four years.

This is the highest-ranking tennis tournament on earth and there will be no players attending that are below world class.

And Shanghai is one of the best settings that tennis fans could possibly ask for.

The largest city in China, Shanghai is a bustling, vibrant metropolis that never sleeps and boasts some of the finest dining and most exciting nightspots in the world.

Visitors must make sure to stroll along the Bund, which follows the course of the Huangpu River, within the former International Settlement.
