Those heading to Kenya for a bit of sunshine, sand and safari may find that Lake Nakuru National Park is just the thing to add to the list of attractions to enjoy.
Lake Nakuru is itself a strongly alkaline lake which has a huge and spectacular flamingo population, a wondrous site for anyone who either loves birds or whose favourite colour is pink.
The national park also offers plenty of attractive mountain scenery and all the big game one might wish to see, with black rhinos, lions, leopards, zebra and buffalo all at large, making it a great place to go on safari, while the lake also has a huge range of other water birds.
In addition to this, visitors to Kenya can enjoy learning about the local culture and acquainting themselves with the fine beaches of the Indian Ocean coast.
