Turkey hosts its annual Rock 'n Coke Music Festival from August 31st until September 2nd with headliners the Smashing Pumpkins.
Visitors to the country could be lucky enough to watch the Scottish band Franz Ferdinand and Welsh rockers The Manic Street Preachers, both playing on the main stage.
Hezarfen Airfield is the venue for Turkey's largest open-air festival and will provide 55,000 people two days of alternative music and an artistic and cultural village. Sports areas, fairground rides and activity zones are also sure to create an entertaining weekend.
After only four years the event has seen 500 musicians perform and big acts such as Iggy Pop and Muse have graced festival-goers with musical marvels.
If one rock festival is not enough for music fans, then the Emali Oil Festival will surely provide more melodic entertainment. Starting on August 29th, the town of Emali will present a host of bands before 100 Turkish men wrestle to be crowned the winner of the event.
