Soon one of Hong Kong's most anticipated events, the annual book fair, will take place in the city's Convention and Exhibition Centre.

From July 18th to the 24th, the centre will become a hive of bookish activity, as publisher's from Hong Kong and around the world display their most exciting books, magazines, journals and newspapers.

Furthermore, there will be a myriad of educational software and audio-visual learning aids available.

Over the course of the event it is expected that over 500,000 visitors will flock to the centre, which will host 350 exhibitors.

The Convention and Exhibition Centre is worth a look in itself, built to host the handover ceremonies in 1997, the centre is a wonder of modern architecture protruding into Hong Kong's famous harbour.

And if wandering the bookshelves has gotten a bit much, Hong Kong has much more to offer.

Taking the tram up to Victoria Peak, which offers panoramic views of the entire city, is always a favourite activity for tourists. And once you've arrived, have a bite to eat at the sumptuous Peak Cafe.
