The US state of Virginia has long been a favourite spot for young couples on their honeymoon and now travelling to the state's most romantic locations could become even easier with the publication of a new travel guide.
According to the Virginia Tourism Corporation, the guide is aimed at "travellers looking to live passionately on vacation in Virginia".
The guide celebrates the 40th anniversary of the successful tourism campaign Virginia is for Lovers by highlighting the state's romantic honeymoon hotspots, which include beach side surfing schools, hidden wineries and romantic restaurants.
Virgina's tourism corporation said: "Other highlights in the guide include articles on Virginia's four hundred years of history with an emphasis on the Civil War and heritage trails."
The state, named after Elizabeth I, the virgin queen, is home to the stunning blue ridge mountains and borders the historic US capital, Washington DC.
