2008 News Archive - Holidays - Wild Wadi Water Park offers thrills and spills

01 06 2007

If there's one thing that Dubai can offer, its sun and heat in quantities seldom found anywhere else on the planet.

So it logically follows that visitors will eventually want to cool down a bit, which is where the Wild Wadi Water Park comes in.

Boasting 30 different rides and attractions, the park is perfect location for both families and couples to combine cooling down with having a whale of a time.

Included in the park is the famous Jumeirah Sceirah, a water slide that allows participants to reach speeds of up to 80 kilometres per hour.

And visitors shouldn't miss Breakers Bay, which is the largest wave pool in the Middle East. Surfers will be thrilled with the FlowRiders feature, which shoots out more than seven tonnes of water per second.

However, if water parks aren't one's cup of tea, then Dubai also has some of the best beaches in the world.

Long, white stretches of sand are bordered by clear blue sea, warmed by the suns rays.
