Bregenzerwald Ski Resort

A vibrant, colourful yet pleasantly laid-back region, the Bregenzerwald is a winter destination cut out for those who enjoy the good things in life. Impeccable quality and well-crafted programmes are second nature to the locals. 22 towns and villages altogether present themselves in a stunning blend of traditional and contemporary timber architecture. Many hotels artfully combine trad and mod. The Bregenzerwald cuisine relies on regional produce such as the famed Bregenzerwald mountain cheese. The conditions for winter sports are excellent; thanks to its strategic location at the northern rim of the alps, the Bregenzerwald is endowed with a richer snow cover than other regions, which makes it ideal for ski touring and off-piste skiing.

The region features 92 lifts: 5 cable cars, 31 chair lifts, 56 drag and nursery lifts; highest served mountain terminal at 2,060 m (Diedamskopf/Au-Schoppernau). 266 km of runs in total | 99 blue | 132 red | 35 black | different ski routes and descents in open terrain. Snowboard funpark in Au-Schoppernau, Damüls-Mellau, Warth-Schröcken; 300 km of cross-country trails; some 200 km of winter hiking trails; 11 ski schools/nurseries; 3 ski kindergartens; 1 ice rink; 23 tobogganing runs
