Lech Ski Resort

Classic, sleek and offering unrivalled comfort and adrenalin (if you want it), Lech is like the Bentley of the ski resort world. The mountain is beautiful from every angle and, on a snowy night in resort, it feels almost like you've been transported back 100 years.

A river meanders through the town centre, flanked by luxurious hotels and restaurants. Lech regulars tend to be rich, famous and/or royal and, perhaps because they're so 'common', the resort remains refreshingly unpretentious.

Lech may initially appear exclusive but it's actually wonderfully inclusive. All levels of skier and snowboarder are well catered for with a good blend of impeccably groomed pistes, a modern lift system and few draglifts and there's even, surprisingly, one of Europe's best funparks just above the Schlegelkopf. All in all, this quiet, sunny and picturesque destination is one of the best…if you can afford the slightly high (but well-earned) price-tag.

Did You Know?

Lech claims the title of the snowiest major resort in Europe, with more than 8 metres falling in the average season. However its lesser known neighbour Warth Schrocken is actually snowier!
