Roquetas de Mar : Holiday Accommodation

Bathed in the Costa de Almeria's sunshine, Roquetas de Mar offers a brilliant combination of seaside fun and lazy days on the sands.

Once a fishing town, it's now a thriving resort but still retains a historic air around its ancient Moorish centre, topped with a medieval watchtower. It's the beach that gets the most attention though: a wide swathe of sand and pebbles lapped by sapphire seas, it's fantastic for relaxing under the Costa's blue skies. All around, you'll find plentiful shops and Spanish and British-style restaurants and after dark, lots of bars and clubs provide some fun nightlife. Make sure you experience the wildly beautiful surrounding region too, with its moon-like desert interior and spaghetti-western theme park, as well as the rugged coves, wonderful birdwatching and flamingo-dotted salt lakes of spectacular Cabo de Gato National Park.
