Up here, crooked cobbled lanes lined with whitewashed houses lead to a magical blue-domed church, little shops, artist galleries and tapas bar-lined plazas, while below, the waterfront is crammed with friendly cafes, souvenir shops and restaurants to stroll around. When you want the beach, take off for the wonderful pebble-and-sand bays close by, many of which offer watersports and boat trips. All around, waterparks, golf courses and captivating inland villages beckon, whilst at night, Altea promises relaxed evenings enjoying its typical Costa Bravan restaurants and laid-back music bars.
