If you fancy a spot of sightseeing, the Moorish Castillo de Sohail tops the list, as does the Andalucian fishing village of Los Boliches - next door to Fuengirola. There's also the old fisherman's district of Santa Fé. For family fun, there's Fuengirola zoo and Marbella and Mijas can be reached by bus. Or, perhaps you want to check-out the bright lights of Torremolinos - if so, it's easily a short train ride away. Shopping-wise, make sure you make a beeline to the town's weekly Tuesday market on the Avenida Jesus Santos Rien. Renown on the Costa del Sol as being one of the biggest markets, it's a great opportunity to haggle with the locals to get yourself a bargain or two! There are also a good choce of chic boutiques in the historic quarter. In keeping with its bubbly Spanish flavour, evenings in Fuengirola South are brilliant.
