Mijas Golf

Holidays

The Costa del Sol isn't called the Costa del Golf for nothing! Keen golfers will love the Mijas Golf Resort, situated a short 30 minute drive from Malaga airport. This stretch of Spain's coastline offers two excellent golf courses - Los Lagos and Los Olivos - both providing a fantastic terrain and a year-round opportunity to play. Thanks to a dry, warm summer and mild winter weather, Costa del Sol is a popular golfing hotspot.

Away from the golf course, a string of touristy stores offer great shopping along the sands of Mijas Costa, and there are numerous beach cafés, Spanish eateries, along with a healthy selection of bars and tempting restaurants in Mijas. In keeping with its Spanish flavour, evenings are deliciously easy-going, with most people enjoying drinks and fruity Sangria by the sea watching the sun as it gently sets before settling at a friendly local restaurant with a mouth-watering paella for the night.

For a change of scenery, the mountain village of Mijas Pueblo is a short drive away, and don't forget to check out the street market in La Cala on a Wednesday and Saturday. Selling everything from fresh produce to local delicacies, you're sure to pick up a treat. You can also visit Fuengirola's tempting range of restaurants, shops and beach.
