Villa Casa Tara Introduction
In a quiet cul-de-sac near Mijas village, this split-level villa is a real charmer. Add its fantastic views and the fact that it offers a self-contained section and you have the ideal escape for groups or families with older children seeking flexible accommodation.
The 1970s-style villa oozes character, with chunky whitewashed walls, beamed ceilings and picture windows lovingly cared for by the owners. An airy lounge forms the heart of the house, opening to a wrap-round terrace overlooking the garden. Steps from the lounge descend to another cosy sitting room with a bar and copper-topped fireplace, together with an archway to the kitchen and a dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with terracotta floors and vintage furniture. The double features an ensuite with a sunken bath, plus a balcony commanding sea views, while the twin has a separate bathroom alongside. Elsewhere, you will find the self-contained section with its bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and balcony.
Outside, the pool sits on a gorgeous terrace next to a covered barbecue. As for the garden, it feels like a leafy oasis, with pine, fruit and cypress trees woven with stepped pathways and glimpses of the sea. When you want to explore, meanwhile, Mijas is a two-minute drive away and the nearest beach of Fuengirola is nine kilometres away.
Please note that due to numerous steps, this villa is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties.
