Brought to Thailand by Shivago Komarpaj, a contemporary of Gautama Buddha, the complex art of Thai massage actually originated in India. The experience lasts approximately 2 hours, and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body. Based on the combined principles of Ayurveda and yoga, the receiver is put into many yoga-like positions throughout the course of the massage, following the sen lines on the body.
